Why is Fadi in the trunk of his father's taxi? What is he trying to do? What steps did his father take to find Mariam? Do you think this is a good idea? Explain.
Fadi is in the trunk of his fathers taxi because he heard of a camera competition which allowed kids to go on a trip around the world if they won. So Fadi got the idea to try to hide in his fathers taxi so he could go to the airport.
Fadi's in the back of the taxi because he wants to get to the airport without his family knowing; without anyone knowing. He is trying to get to Kabul and find Mariam.
Fadi's dad got a job as a taxi driver to earn money. He then asked his family members in Pakistan. His father then saved up $500 to buy a secret agency the will try to find Mariam. I think it was a good idea, but he should of told his family memebers to see if it was a good idea.
His father got a job so he could earn money. What no one else knew was that he payed $500 to a secret agency to find Mariam. I think it's a bad idea because he could just use the money to buy a airplane ticket and go find her himself, but at the same time, it was a good idea because he might be killed. Another reason it's bad is because the agency could just be scamming him for money. I think this because the author said that Kabul was full, of very bad people.
