  1. Gulmina is a barbie doll. The doll is important to Mariam the youngest daughter out of the family. It is a symbol of the west because barbie dolls are banned in afghanistan because the doll represents a bod figure / human!

  2. The family members say prayers for mariam and they talk together. In uncle Amin's house it is very crowded. There is Two grandparents, to parents, one child, and Fadi's family except for Mariam.

  3. Gulmina is a barbie doll.The barbie is very important to Mariam (the youngest daughter in Fadi's family). It is a symbol of the west because they are not allowed to have human figures in Afghanistan.

  6. They say a lot of prayers and talk a lot about Mariam. There is a lot of people at Uncle Amin's house and a lot of talking. There are groups of people like when the adult women go and drink tea.
